Food & Beverage Trends 2019

Updated: Mar 14, 2019

There are many ways to wow your guests. You can host the event in a unique venue, offer exciting entertainment, or go all out with gorgeous decor.

One sure-fire way to impress event attendees is with creative and delicious food. Staying on top of food and beverage trends for the year can make you an important asset to your clients and the audience they serve.

Here is a scrupulous list of items to consider for your next event.

1. Toast - Gourmet toast has moved beyond just avocado and can now be adorned with many delectable items sweet and savory from poached pears to slices of prosciutto.

2. Mocktails - An imitation of cocktails, but with the absence of alcohol.

3. Grazing Table - A massive table display of food. Offerings for your guests can include meats and cheese, fresh fruit, lobster boil items or even breakfast pastries.

4. Gourmet Popsicles - You can select unique, bold and organic flavors to tantalize taste buds. I love the San Diego Company Viva Pops' creative flavors. This would be a great addition for a social gathering.

5. Street food-inspired dishes - From tacos, dumplings, to tempura there is cornucopia  of comfort food options to delight the palates of guests. These items are traditionally very easy to consume during cocktail receptions and can be very budget friendly options.

6. Artisan Chocolate - Chocolatiers and pastry chefs have found new ways to caterer to our ever evolving refined preferences, with premium chocolate and additions of Himalayan salt, bacon and even potato chips.

7. Vegan Options - Menu options for vegans have become far more accessible and appetizing. Whether it's for an hor d'oeuvres option or main course, typically the catering company can offer a vegetarian option that is also vegan.

8. Tune in on Friday March 15th at 10am PST for our Facebook live event to hear more about the food and beverage trend you consider including into your event. Click here to join.

Food can provide nourishment, tell a story and leave a lasting memory. Create sweet and savory memories for your guests to treasure after the event with these fun food and beverage trends.

I hope this helps you with your next event.
