Ocean views, salty air, and cocktails at sunset - just a few of my favorite things. What's not to love about hosting an event on a boat?
You probably don't need much convincing to attend a gathering on a yacht or to consider it as a possible venue for your next event.
If you're looking for a few examples to help convince your client, boss, or fellow team members - look no further.
1. Captive audience - As the event host, you're able to manage the complete guest experience from start to finish. Your guests will need to arrive at a certain time for dock departure and the tours typically last around 2 hours. This scenario will enable you to execute a strategic event program that incorporates enough time for fun, as well as any speaking elements (i.e. company updates, staff awards, sales pitches, etc.).
2. Scenery - Your guests will have an up-close view of San Diego's iconic landmarks and landscape, including the Coronado Bridge, Navy Seals Training Base, exciting wildlife such as harbor seals and sea lions, and Cabrillo National Monument.
3. Limited decor and rentals needed - With the gorgeous scenery and tables and chairs that come with the boat, there is typically very little needed for decor and rentals. I would recommend a few floral arrangements for the bars, some lounge furniture pieces if the space permits, as well as renting a couple games like Giant Connect Four or Miniature Golf to provide additional entertainment for your guests.
4. Great pictures - It doesn't matter if the social gathering is part of a conference or company celebration, the photos from the event will capture breathtaking views of this gorgeous city along with attendees thoroughly enjoying all of the elements of the excursion.
5. Memorable experience - Whether your guests are first-time visitors or long-time locals, they will have a shared experience of this adventure that will leave them with a lasting memory of San Diego for many years to come.
